A Partiful alternative built around the plan
Partiful is built around the event page and the people on it: the invite, the comments, the photos afterwards. LazyParty is built around the work before the party. You answer three questions and it drafts the plan, then gives you an invite guests answer in a browser.
Three short screens, and no account needed to see your plan. Nothing is sent to your guests until you say so.

What we say about Partiful was checked in October 2026 and is kept to what it is plainly built for. Products change: if something here is out of date, tell us at hello@lazyplaner.com and we'll correct it. LazyParty is not affiliated with Partiful.
What LazyParty does
- A countdown checklist
- Every task dated backwards from party day. Move the date and the list moves with it.
- A budget that adds up
- Your number split by the kind of party, with the lines totalling exactly what you entered.
- A menu and shopping list
- Dishes that fit the dietary needs you name, and quantities sized to the headcount.
- A party-day schedule
- When to set up, when to eat and when the cake comes out.
- An invite on one link
- Guests reply without an app or an account. Adults and kids are counted separately.
- Potluck sign-up
- Guests claim a dish on the invite, so the table balances.
- Address after yes
- The address stays hidden until a household says they're coming, unless you turn that off.
- Reminders for the host
- A week before, three days before and the day before, with what is still open.
The party planner page shows a full plan it drafted, not a mock-up.
When Partiful is the better choice
- The party is mostly friends who already use it, and the event page is part of the fun.
- You want to message every guest at once from the app.
- You want everyone's photos in one place afterwards.
What LazyParty doesn't do
- There is no app to install: it runs in the browser.
- It doesn't text or email your guests for you. Guests never give an address, so you send the link yourself.
- There is no shared photo album.
- You can add a photo and a message to the invite, but not choose its design.
- It doesn't sell tickets or collect money.
Questions
Does it need an app?
No. LazyParty runs in the browser for the host and for guests. Nobody installs anything, and guests reply without making an account.
Does it work for family parties, with kids and grandparents?
That is who it is built for. Replies count adults and kids separately, collect allergies and dietary needs in one list, and the address can stay hidden until a household says yes.
Can guests sign up to bring a dish?
Yes. Open the potluck on your party and guests claim a dish from the invite, so you don't end up with five desserts.
What does it do besides the invitation?
It plans the party. You get a checklist with real due dates, a budget split by the kind of party, a menu that respects dietary needs, a shopping list sized to your headcount and a schedule for the day.
